Full and timely vaccination is an effective measure to prevent dangerous infectious diseases in children.

In recent years, the health sector has faced many difficulties and challenges. One of them is the ever-changing disease patterns, which are complex and threaten people’s health.

Changing disease patterns are an inevitable reality in the context of a constantly evolving and changing society and environment. In the past, infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, malaria, plague, etc. were major threats to people’s health. Thanks to vaccination, improved hygiene, medical care, etc., the rate of people suffering from these diseases has decreased sharply. Currently, chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, etc. have become the leading causes of death.

In addition, new diseases are emerging and evolving in a complex manner. The Covid-19 pandemic is a typical example of how disease patterns are changing rapidly due to environmental factors and interactions between humans and animals. Diseases caused by drug-resistant bacteria are also emerging as new challenges for the healthcare sector.

Due to the impact of modern lifestyle, many people often eat fast food, high sugar, high salt… and little exercise, the rate of obesity and diet-related diseases such as metabolic disorders, bone and joint diseases is also increasing.

Therefore, at the working session with the Ministry of Health a few days ago, among the 12 contents that General Secretary To Lam requested the health sector to implement to solve current challenges and the coming years, the first content was “the need to innovate thinking about the health sector”. Health is not only about examining and treating patients, but more importantly, it is about taking care of people’s health to limit diseases. It is necessary to focus on researching disease prevention measures, improving health, prolonging life…

Innovation in thinking in the health sector is not only an inevitable requirement in the new situation but also the foundation for building a modern, flexible and sustainable health system. To do this, it is not only the health sector, but also the joint efforts of the entire political system and society, aiming towards the goal of caring for and protecting people’s health in the most comprehensive and effective way.

Instead of focusing most of its resources on treating diseases, the health sector is focusing more on disease prevention. This requires a change in the mindset of both medical staff and the community, towards a healthy lifestyle, full vaccination and increased health communication and education.

In addition, digital technology is opening up many new opportunities in healthcare. The application of electronic health records and telemedicine applications not only helps improve treatment efficiency but also reduces pressure on the healthcare system.

Innovation in thinking is also reflected in promoting scientific research, applying new solutions to practice and enhancing domestic and international cooperation to learn and share experiences.

To promote innovative thinking in the healthcare sector, more attention should be paid to policies that encourage scientific research, support innovation and facilitate the development of technology applications in healthcare.

Medical facilities also need to be flexible in accepting and implementing new methods and technologies. Medical staff must constantly improve their professional qualifications, while changing their approach to patients, placing patients at the center of all health care activities.

Last year, with the motto “prevention is better than cure”, Hai Duong’s health sector paid special attention to preventive medicine and grassroots health activities on the basis of maintaining effective implementation of health and population target programs. The epidemic was well controlled, there were no large outbreaks and no deaths due to the epidemic. Food safety and hygiene were ensured, no collective food poisoning occurred. The health sector has effectively implemented digital transformation in line with the strategy of taking care of people’s health in the new situation.

Hai Duong province has paid attention and made large investments in the health sector with the desire to improve people’s health care capacity, on par with other provinces and cities in the region.

Hopefully, with the attention and cooperation of the entire political system and society, Hai Duong’s health sector will continue to achieve many proud results, achieving “a health system suitable to the needs of our people” as Uncle Ho wished 70 years ago and under the direction of General Secretary To Lam.
